Dental implants can be signalled option for tooth replacement. Not only will a dental implant take care of any gaps in your smile so that you can get your smile back, but there are other issues that dental implants take care of that many people are unaware of.

Patients in Kew East, VIC who are missing teeth should look to dental implants as a way to solve many of their dental and health problems. Our experienced team is always happy to provide you with more information at our Kew East, VIC dental surgery.

Dental Implants Will Preserve Your Bone

When a tooth is missing, many people are unaware of the fact that the jawbone begins to shrink. This is because the body no longer is signalled to send nutrients to the area since there is no longer a tooth root present. This is called facial collapse, and it is what many denture-wearers develop over the years. It can add years to your age. It can also lead to more tooth loss. Because dental implants integrate with the jawbone, the bone continues to receive nutrients—and it doesn’t shrink.

Dental Implants Mean You Can Eat Whatever You Like

When teeth are missing, chewing can become difficult, so people start avoiding healthy foods such as vegetables, fruits, and meat. This can lead to malnutrition, particularly in older people. With dental implants, you can chew foods just as could with your natural teeth, keeping your entire body healthier.

Dental Implants Don’t Shift or Move

Anyone who has worn dentures can tell you that there are drawbacks when dentures slip and slide awkwardly in the mouth. You won’t have these worries with dental implants. You can laugh, speak and eat with confidence.

We invite you to call our Kew East, VIC dental clinic to find out more about dental implants. We look forward to restoring your smile.
